Tomatoes are known for their great eating quality, and Brandywine is one of the best. Their fruit is very large with deep pink skin and red flesh. Brandywine is not a heavy yielder, but makes up for it with great flavor. Staking is recommended. Tomatoes are best started indoors and transplanted outside two to three weeks after last frost. Tomatoes prefer well drained, fertile, gravelly or sandy loams.
