Overview
Ready to use insecticide that provides effective pest control against crawling insects. Insects that come in contact or ingest this powder die within 48 hours. For use in and around residential, commercial and agricultural buildings structures and their immediate surroundings, in and around food/feed handling establishments, livestock and poultry houses and may be applied over the top while animals are present, on crops, and stored grain. Use Diatomaceous Earth to control ants, bedbugs, box elder bugs, carpet beetles, centipedes, crickets, cockroaches, earwigs, fleas, grasshoppers, millipedes, slugs and silverfish.
Diatomaceous Earth is composed of finely milled fossilized shells of microscopic organisms called diatoms. Diatomaceous Earth is a light dust that clings easily to the bodies of insects as they walk or crawl over it. Unlike boric acid dusts that work best when ingested, Crawling Insect Control only requires contact with the insect to be effective. It absorbs the waxy cuticle surrounding the insect, causing the insect to dehydrate and die. Diatomaceous Earth is a natural, mechanical insecticide that is an excellent alternative to conventional chemicals. The crystalline silica content is less than one half of one percent.
Application Rates
Grain Storage:7 lbs per ton or mixed in feed rations at 2%.
Indoor and Outdoor Application:Apply lightly and uniformly to cracks and crevices and any place the pests are found or may hide with the use of a bulbous duster or other suitable equipment. Dust insects directly if possible. Repeat applications as needed.
Fleas: Thoroughly treat floor and bedding in and around pets’ sleeping quarters. Treat surrounding cracks and crevices, baseboards, carpeting and wherever fleas are suspected. Apply lightly to carpet, rake into fibers using a carpet rake or a garden rake. Leave the product in place for as long as possible then vacuum lightly. Reapply in 7-10 days as DE does not kill eggs.
