Jalapeno Peppers are thick walled with a fiery pungency. This uniform strain does well in the North. Slightly tapered 3½” x 1” sausage shaped pepper is very smooth and the green color will turn red. Heavy yielder on upright plants. Peppers prefer sandy loam soil of average fertility. Peppers are usually started indoors and transplanted outside 2-3 weeks after last frost.
