Pumpkin Big Max

Planting guide: Planting depth: 3/4″-1″ or 2-2.5cm. Seeds per group (Hill): 5-8. Spacing: 3″ or 7.5cm. Spacing of groups (Hills): 6′-8′ or 1.8-2.4m. Thin to plants per group: 2-3. Days to maturity: 100-110.

Plant after danger of frost, in a sunny area. Pumpkins need room, so give these giants 8’–12′ each way between hills. Turn in a spade full of rotted manure or compost in soil loosened 6″ deep. Water well. Thin to 2 best plants per hill. When fruit reaches 3″ in diameter, remove but 3 or 4 each vine. For real giants, plant in pure compost and remove all fruit but 1 closest to the main stem. Mulch well to keep fruit from wet ground.
